Dale Sumner
Self-taught 3-D Mixed Media/Concept Artist/Sculptor
Exhibiting as ‘Faces of Humanity’ or Dale M Sumner. My current art form is 1:1 scale face cast in plaster and finished in iron, copper or bronze and various acids for patina. The sculptures are framed and hang on the wall. The frames are a key component and represent the culture of the sculpted character. Current showings include the “Redwood Art Group” shows in the following locations: Art Santa Fe 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and Art Dallas 2022 along with Spectrum Miami 2025 this December. Special note of the “Spotlight” award in 2023 and the “Directors Choice” award in 2025 presented at Art Santa Fe. I have donated two pieces featured as permanent exhibits in museums. One piece, “Loving Earl”, is located at the Knoxville Historical Museum in Tennessee and the other is a very personal piece located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. “Firestorm in Gatlinburg” depicts the aftermath of a horrific fire November 28, 2016, where 14 people lost their lives. I am available for commissioned artwork. I live and work in Fort Worth, Texas and I’m always open to opportunities in other cities and galleries.

“…perhaps its magic lies in being one of a kind — not just a work of art, but a piece of a life well-lived and beautifully shaped”
